Welcome to Sea and Color

Welcome to Sea and Color, where passion for watercolor meets the subtle beauty of sea glass. My artistic journey took root in grammar school, captivated by the interplay of water and color. This fascination grew during my college years while I was in architecture school. I refined my watercolor skills, balancing precision with the medium's natural flow.

My true inspiration, however, surfaced when my family and I moved to the scenic island of Okinawa, Japan. There, surrounded by the rhythmic ebb and flow of the ocean, I discovered the enchanting world of sea glass. These ocean-crafted treasures, each a unique story shaped by the sea, resonated deeply with my love for watercolor’s fluidity. It felt like a natural union, the sea's work and the watercolor's essence, both shaped by the same elemental force.

Driven by this inspiration, I began painting the sea glass and pottery fragments collected during my shoreline walks. It was more than art; it was a celebration of transformation and beauty crafted by the sea. Each piece of sea glass, once sharp and clear, now smooth and frosted, spoke of resilience and change.

Sea and Color is not just an art business; it's a reflection of a journey—a journey that intertwines the transformative power of the ocean with the delicate balance of watercolor. It's an invitation to explore the serenity and beauty that sea glass and art bring to our lives, a celebration of nature's own artistry. Join me in this journey, and let the stories of the sea and the dance of watercolors bring a piece of tranquil beauty into your world.
